Drexel University students from Philadelphia, PA have been skydiving at the Northeast Pennsylvania skydiving center, the Above the Poconos Skydivers for many years. Drexel students with the Drexel Weekend Warriors go skydiving for an extreme sport adventure during Senior Week, Spring Break, or anytime they can gather a group together. With a valid college ID, Drexel students will receive a $10 discount off of their introductory tandem skydiving lesson. Since we’re only about 2 hours away, get together a group of friends and come on out for a fun weekend of skydiving and camping and other adventure activities that a Drexel student deserves!
Here are the turn by turn directions to the Above the Poconos Skydivers Skydiving Center from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA:
Take Interstate 76 West. Take Interstate 76 West to Interstate 476 West (Northeast Extension of the PA Turnpike) to Interstate 80 West. Take Interstate 80 West and get off at Exit 262. Take a left off of the exit onto 309 South. Follow 309 south about 5.5 miles. This will put you at the Airport Beltway traffic light, take a right onto the Airport Beltway. Then take the first left at the airport sign onto Hess Road, and go up the hill to the stop sign. Across the street is the airport parking lot. Our building is the brick building on the right side of the parking lot. Go through the bright blue door with “SKYDIVE” painted on it. If you arrive early, there are public restrooms in the terminal building on the left side of the parking lot.
