Lehigh University skydiving students from Bethlehem, PA have been skydiving at the Northeast Pennsylvania skydiving center, the Above the Poconos Skydivers since the seventies and the tradition continues today. Lehigh University students go skydiving for an extreme sport adventure for Senior Week, Spring Break, or anytime.
Above the Poconos Skydivers chief advanced instructor, Darlene Kellner, is a Lehigh University alumni and was the President of both the Lehigh University Outing Club and Captain of the Lehigh University Skydiving Team.
With a valid college ID, Lehigh students will receive a $10 discount off of their introductory tandem skydiving lesson. Since we’re just over an hour away, get together a group of friends and come on out for a fun day of skydiving!
Here are the turn by turn directions to the Above the Poconos Skydivers Skydiving Center from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA:
Take 378 North to Route 22 West to Route 100 North to Route 309 North to Interstate 81 North, get off at Exit 145. Take a right onto 93 South follow 93 south about half mile to the Airport Beltway traffic light. Take a left onto the Airport Beltway. Follow that road for about 2 miles, take a right after the sign “Hazleton Municipal Airport” and go up the hill to the stop sign. Across the street is the airport parking lot. Our building is the brick building on the right side of the parking lot. Go through the bright blue door with “SKYDIVE” painted on it. If you arrive early, there are public restrooms in the terminal building on the left side of the parking lot.
